Job Description:

The Meat Department Manager will be responsible for the management and supervision of the meat and seafood department.

 The manager will ensure an organized and efficiently run meat and seafood department including ordering, pricing, inventory control, and departmental objectives for sales, margin, and labor goals.   The manager of the department will provide staff with the necessary tools, training, and motivation necessary to ensure the highest level of customer service. 

Qualifications:

*Butchering experience

*Omnivorous

* Minimum of two years previous work in retail/grocery/deli/food service and prior experience in a supervisory/management role.

*Working knowledge of meat & seafood products required. 

*Knowledge of natural foods

*Ability to plan, develop and implement systems to provide for efficient and productive operations

*Excellent communication and listening skills

*Ability to work well with others in a cooperative environment

*Commitment to superior customer service

*Demonstrated ability to handle multiple demands

*Flexibility with scheduling a must
