Good Foods Co-op is in search of an energetic, enthusiastic, and community-minded individual to work as a Meat Assistant in our Meat & Seafood Department. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position. The successful candidate will have experience working in a meat department, or at a minimum will have kitchen skills, including demonstrated knife skills. In addition, the successful candidate will need to be self-motivated, a team player, interested in personal growth and development, and will be able to multi-task while providing excellent customer service.

Finance Manager

Join the Goods Foods Co-op family as our new Finance Manager!

Our Finance Manager is responsible for the overall administration and supervision of the financial accounting and reporting functions for the Co-op. General responsibilities include supervision of payroll and accounts payable, general accounting duties, and assisting the Management Team with financial reporting activities and decision-making.

Specific Responsibilities include (but may not be limited to):

Maintain the general ledger including all journal entries, accruals, deferrals, and reconciliations. Prepare written financial statements, schedules and reports; administer accounting and budget control systems to comply with generally accepted accounting procedures, laws, ordinances, and regulations; review financial statements with management personnel for their information and clarification; file payroll and other tax returns with appropriate payments; bank reconciliation; control account numbers and establish new account numbers as needed; review, develop and modify accounting methods to improve existing procedures; supervise accounts payable and payroll functions; maintain fixed asset records.


Knowledge of: Principles and practices of accounting, specifically as applied in a retail setting; principles of supervision, training, and evaluation; principles of computerized accounting and information systems.

Ability to: Analyze and interpret financial and accounting records; prepare financial statements and reports; design and install new and improved accounting and record keeping systems; develop and maintain accounting and control procedures; prepare a variety of financial statements; reports and analyses; understand and interpret laws and ordinances; understand and apply data processing principles to financial systems; plan, assign, supervise and evaluate the work of subordinates.

Experience and Education:

Any combination equivalent to experience and education that could provide the required knowledge and abilities.

Sufficient experience of an increasingly responsible nature including a supervisory capacity, to obtain the knowledge and abilities listed. Retail accounting experience and previous exposure to Sage accounting software system are strongly preferred.

Education: equivalent to a bachelor’s degree with main course work in accounting, finance, business or closely related field.

Pay rate: $45,000 - $55,000 (based on experience)
