Falafels

  • 1 cup Falafel Mix - Bulk Aisle 5
  • 3/4 cup cold water

Mix together Falafel mix and cold water, and let stand for 15 minutes. Shape into spoon-size patties and pan-fry in a small amount of oil until brown and crisp.

Falafel Serving Suggestion:

  • Serve this Middle Eastern dish traditionally by stuffing in a pita bread with lettuce or sprouts, tomatoes, cucumbers, and sesame tahini sauce (blend together 1/2 cup tahini, 1/4 cup water, 1/4 cup lemon juice, 1 or 2 cloves garlic, pressed, and 1/4 tsp. salt).
  • Serve falafel patties over brown rice with mushrooms or cheese sauce.
