Faux Turkey with Mushrooms and Stuffing
- 8 oz. seitan chicken flavor, torn into chunks
- 3 tbsp. butter or oil - Aisle 1 or 3
- 8 oz. button mushrooms, sliced - Produce
- 1/2 cup diced onion - Produce
- 1/2 cup diced celery - Produce
- 1 tbsp. fresh garlic, minced - Produce
- 1 tsp. fresh rosemary, chopped - Produce
- 1/2 cup vegetable broth - Aisle 2
- 2 scoops of prepared stuffing
In a skillet over medium high heat, melt butter and saute the onions, celery, & mushrooms until soft. Add garlic & saute 3 minutes more. Add the vegetable broth & bring to a boil. Add the rosemary & seitan chicken & reduce the liquid by half. To serve, you can spoon the seitan mixture into a shallow serving dish & serve it side by side or topped with stuffing, or simply mix the seitan into the prepared stuffing. Serve hot. Serves 2
