Garlic Hummus
- 1 16oz. can Eden Organic Garbanzo Beans, do not drain liquid from can - Aisle 2
- 1-1/2 Tbsp. Fresh Organic Lemon Juice - Produce
- 1/4 Cup Tahini - Refrigerated Bulk Aisle 1
- 3-5 Cloves Local Garlic, crushed - Produce
- 1/2 Tsp. Simply Organic Ground Cumin - Aisle 2
- 1/2 Tsp. Simply Organic Ground Red Pepper - Aisle 2
- 1/2 Tsp. Hain Salt - Aisle 2
Place the garbanzo beans with the bean liquid (1/2 of can) and lemon juice in a food processor. Add tahini, garlic, cumin, red pepper, and salt. Blend ingredients and then add the rest of the liquid, and blend again. Do not over blend. Texture should be both rough and creamy at the same time. Store hummus in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Serves 2-4 as a dip or spread.
