Golden Glazed Acorn Squash with Brown Sugar and Cinnamon
- 3 acorn squash - Produce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar - Aisle 2
- 3 tbsp. butter, melted - Aisle 1
- 1 tbsp. cinnamon - Bulk Herbs & Spices
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg, to taste - Bulk Herbs & Spices
- 1/4 tsp. sea salt, to taste - Aisle 2
Split squash into two halves and scoop out seeds and fibers. Steam in a pot with a tight-fitting lid until tender, 15-20 minutes. Preheat oven to 400 degrees fahrenheit. Place the halves on a shallow baking dish. Mix sugar, spices, salt, and sprinkle over the squash halves. Drizzle with the melted butter. Bake until squash is tender, approximately 15-20 minutes. For a deeper glaze, broil for a minute or two.
