Honey Glazed Baked Apples Filled with Dried Fruit

  • 4 large baking apples, such as golden delicous, granny smith, or braeburn (don't use red delicious) - Produce
  • 1/2 cup dried fruit cut into bite-size peices - Bulk Snack Aisle
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened apple juice - Aisle 4
  • 3 tbsp. honey - Bulk Ausle 5

Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit. Core each apple, leaving the peel on. Cut a thin slice from the bottom of each apple so tha the apples will stand upright. Place apples in a 9-inch diameter glass pie dish or 8x8x2-inch glass baking dish. Fill cored-out section of each apple with 2 tbsp. dried fruit. Pour apple juice around apples in dish. Drizzle honey over dried fruit filling and apples. Bake apples until tender when pierced with skewer, basting frequently with pan juices, about 55 minutes. Serve warm, spooning pan juices over apples.
