Miso Glazed Cod

Ingredients:

  • Six 6 oz. Cod Fillets - Meat Dept.
  • 1/3 Cup Low Sodium or White Miso - Aisle 3
  • 1/4 Cup Hain Dark Brown Sugar - Aisle 2
  • 1 Tsp. Toasted Sesame oil - Aisle 3
  • 2 Tbsp. Mirin - Aisle 3
  • Toasted Sesame Seeds, for garnish - Bulk Aisle 5
  • Organic Scallions, for garnish - Produce

Preheat broiler.  Rinse fish fillets and pat dry with paper towels.  Combine miso, brown sugar, sesame oil, and mirin.  Stir well until brown sugar is fully dissolved.  Brush about 2 Tbsp. miso glaze on each fillet.  Marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 1 hour.  Place fish under broiler for 3-4  minutes, or until top is lsightly charred & glaze has caramelized.  Remove fish from oven and brush with remaining glaze.  Lower temp. to 375.  Cook an additional 5-6 minutes, until fish flaky but not overcooked.  If desired, serve with toasted sesame seeds & scallions.
