Pears with Mascarpone

  • 3/4 lb. Mascarpone Cheese - Produce Dept.
  • 1/4 Cup Hazelnut Liqueur
  • 1 Organic Lemon - Produce Dept.
  • 4 Qts. Water
  • 8 Walnut Halves - Bulk
  • 4 Fresh Mint Sprigs - Produce Dept.
  • 4 D'Anjou or Bartlett Pears - Produce Dept.
  • 3 Tsp. Fresh Mint, minced - Produce Dept.

Cut the lemon in half & squeeze the juice into 4 qts. of water & refrigerate. In a mixing bowl, beat the Mascarpone cheese, hazelnut liqueur, & minced mint together until smooth. When ready to serve dessert, drain the lemon water from the pears & arrange the pears on individual dessert plates. Top each pear half with 3 Tbsp. of cheese mixture. Garnish with 2 walnut halves each and a sprig of fresh mint.
