Whole Wheat Pita Chips

  • 6 Whole Wheat Pita Pockets – Aisle 2
  • Nonstick Olive Oil Cooking Spray – Aisle 3
  • 1/4 Tsp. Frontier Organic Black Pepper – Bulk Herbs & Spices
  • 3/4 Tsp. Frontier Organic Garlic Powder – Bulk Herbs & Spices
  • 1/2 Tsp. Frontier Organic Dried Basil – Bulk Herbs & Spices
  • 1/4 Tsp. Frontier Organic Marjoram – Bulk Herbs & Spices
  • 1/4 Tsp. Frontier Organic Onion Powder – Bulk Herbs &
  • 1/4 Tsp. Unrefined Salt – Aisle 2

Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Slice pita pockets open, into 12 single thickness pieces. Combine dried seasonings together in a small bowl. Arrange on 1-2 baking sheets and spray top side of each pita pocket with nonstick cooking spray. Sprinkle seasonings evenly over sprayed pitas. Bake for 5-7 minutes, or until well done, but not burned. Remove from oven, let cool briefly and cut or break into triangle pieces.

Note: if you prefer thicker chips, don’t cut into single thickness. You’ll need to bake the pitas a little longer. Also, you can cut pitas in triangles at the beginning rather than after baking. You’ll have a more perfect triangle shape this way.
