ONLINE: Introduction to Block Printmaking

This class will now be held VIRTUALLY via Zoom!
Learn the fundamentals of block (linocut) printmaking with local artist and teacher, Stephen Wiggins.
In this class, local printmaker, Stephen Wiggins, will instruct students on how to carve, ink and print their images onto paper and fabric. Students will use sharp carving tools on Speedball brand Speedy-Carve linocut blocks to create custom prints without a printing press. Each student will receive five pieces of paper and one cotton bag to print on and may bring additional paper, t-shirts or other cotton materials if they like. Wiggins will also instruct students on proper clean-up of ink and maintenance of carving tools.
