ONLINE: Food as Medicine – Making Traditional Fire Cider

Learn to make the traditional herbal remedy, “fire cider” – curated to your tastes and needs.

Fire cider is a traditional and popular herbal folk remedy. The oxymel (honey + vinegar) helps boost your immune system to get you through the winter months. In this class, you will learn to create your own, catered to your body and what it needs.

What to bring with you: 1/2 gallon glass jar with a lid, 1/2 gallon of apple cider vinegar, honey (to taste, no more than half a cup); OPTIONAL: fresh turmeric, cayenne pepper

What we’ll provide (included in the cost of your ticket): fresh garlic, fresh ginger, hot pepper (such as a jalapeno), citrus (lemon or orange), onion, fresh herbs

We will contact you a couple of days prior to the class to let you know when your fire cider kits are ready for pickup. This online class will be taking place on Zoom. Link details will be sent to class participants.

About the instructor: Brandi Duff has been growing, studying and using herbs and herbal remedies for over a decade.

This class will be held virtually via Zoom, and tickets can be purchased here.
