POSTPONED-Attracting Pollinators

Nothing is more enjoyable than being outside and seeing a big colorful butterfly drinking nectar on a flower. Butterflies are a great way to get children and adults alike interested in learning about nature. However, there are a lot of things about their lives we may not know about. Where do butterflies go in the winter? What is a native bee and how are they different from honeybees? What are the best plants to attract pollinators? In this class, you’ll get the answers to these questions plus much more. The main focus will be on butterfly and bee pollinators and what we can do in our own gardens to benefit them. Learn about specific plants that will attract certain species to your garden, such as the tiger swallowtail. The best garden maintenance practices will help you attract more of these wonderful species.
