Carnegie at the Co-op: Writing for Magazines

From citywide publications like Louisville and Indianapolis Monthly to elite national glossies like The New Yorker and Vanity Fair, magazines provide a unique opportunity for nonfiction writers to showcase their work in a forum where they are not constrained by word counts or rigid style. This three-part class takes place on June 12th, 19th, and 26th. In it, you’ll learn what it takes to get published in a leading magazine– from identifying a worthy subject to crafting a pitch sure to attract an editor’s attention. This class is suitable for all writing levels.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Joe’s work has been published by magazines including the Boston Globe Sunday Magazine, Charlotte Magazine, and Louisville Magazine.

Tickets are $45 for general admission and $39 for Good Foods owners and can be purchased here.
