CANCELED Aromatherapy 101: Essential Oil Safety

Are you interested in essential oils but not exactly sure how to use them or what advice you can trust? This class is for you!

We will focus on how to use essential oils safely and correctly for maximum effectiveness. You will learn how essential oils are produced and what they can be used for, along with 8 steps to using them safely and confidently.

Some topics that will be covered include what to look for when selecting essential oils, how to store them, methods of use, therapeutic effects, proper dilution, and situations in which to avoid their use.

Students will learn 1) What essential oils are, 2) Safe methods of use, 3) When not to use essential oils, 4) How to check for allergies or sensitivities before using, and 5) Which resources to use for guidance.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Michelle is an honors graduate of the American College of Healthcare Sciences in Portland, OR where she earned a certificate in Natural Products Manufacturing and completed her diploma in the advanced Master Aromatherapist program. She is a Certified Professional Aromatherapist through the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA).
