ONLINE- Understanding and Managing Stress

Let’s take a look at the effects stress has on our health and practical tools for managing this so-called “silent killer.”

To really understand what’s happening to the body we often have to look outside the body, beyond diet and exercise. Learn why some of the “healthiest” people we know, like exercise enthusiasts and avid dieters are falling victim, and how to recognize it and prevent it yourself. Participants will hopefully understand exactly how our bodies respond to stress based on biological responses, particularly hormones. They’ll not only walk away with the “awareness” of the effects of stress on our bodies, but with practical tools to manage it. We’ll work through an exercise of deep breathing and a body scan, as well as discussing many solutions they can try for stress management.
